About the country

About the UAE

The United Arab Emirates, in the east of the Arabian Peninsula, is a country made up of seven emirates. The official language is Arabic, but because of its multinational make-up, with people from many different countries living side by side, English is widely used in business and everyday life. Desert landscapes, modern architecture and traditional souks together shape the character of the country.

Programmes are based in Dubai and offer options in two directions: General English, Business English, exam preparation and English programmes combined with activities, as well as General Arabic courses for those who want to learn Arabic. Dubai's identity as an international business and tourism hub gives you the chance to use English with a range of accents in an atmosphere close to the professional world.

The flight from Türkiye to Dubai takes a few hours, and this proximity makes shorter programmes a practical option too. The warm, sunny winter months bring outdoor life to the fore, while in summer much of daily life moves into air-conditioned indoor spaces. We recommend keeping this seasonal difference in mind when choosing when to study.
