Europe
Where the language was born: established schools, short flights, many cities.
The United Kingdom, made up of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, is the birthplace of the English language. From the cosmopolitan streets of London to the historic stone buildings of Edinburgh, and from the long university tradition of Oxford and Cambridge to the seaside feel of Brighton, it brings very different atmospheres together. It is a natural choice for anyone who wants to learn English at its source.
Alongside General English and exam preparation, the UK offers programmes for professionals, summer programmes that combine English with activities, and professional development courses for teachers. Big cities such as London, Manchester, Liverpool and Edinburgh are popular with students, as are university cities like Oxford and Cambridge and seaside towns such as Bournemouth and Brighton.
Seen from Türkiye, the UK is a flight of a few hours away, with direct connections from Istanbul to London and several other major cities. Rail and coach networks link cities across the country, so while studying in one place you can explore other regions at weekends, turning your time abroad into a richer experience.
Where the language was born: established schools, short flights, many cities.
Living where English is the native language, you hear different accents, idioms and everyday speech outside the classroom every single day, and learn from all of it.
Choose between London's fast pace, the academic atmosphere of Oxford and Cambridge or the seaside life of Bournemouth, depending on your goals and your style.
A university tradition stretching back centuries and preparation for internationally recognised English exams give students with academic goals a solid foundation.
Temperate maritime climate: cool to mild summers and gentle winters. The weather changes often during the day and rain falls all year round; Scotland is generally cooler.
The Underground and buses make getting around London easy, while trains connect the cities. Museums, parks, theatres, markets and football culture are part of social life, and school-organised trips help you get to know other cities too.
