Study on the Danube, in the historic atmosphere of Budapest.
Hungary is a Central European country crossed by the Danube and known for its thermal baths, rich musical tradition and distinctive cuisine. The official language is Hungarian, which does not belong to the Indo-European family and holds a unique place in the region. The capital, Budapest, formed by the union of Buda and Pest on either bank of the Danube, is notable for its historic architecture.
UpLife's options in Hungary are in Budapest and consist mainly of English language programmes. These are usually delivered in immersion formats based on one-to-one lessons and staying in your teacher's home. They are a different option for students who want to combine personalised language tuition with the experience of living in a historic and lively Central European capital.
Budapest can be reached from Türkiye by direct and connecting flights. Some buildings from the Ottoman period and the city's bathing culture offer Turkish students familiar traces. The fact that Hungarian shares some words of common origin with Turkish can also bring a pleasant sense of familiarity, and these small links help students feel more comfortable in their first weeks.
Study on the Danube, in the historic atmosphere of Budapest.
Bridges linking the two banks of the Danube, riverside walks and the city's thermal baths make everyday life in Budapest a real pleasure.
One-to-one lessons are planned around your goals, and time with your teacher is reinforced by everyday conversation, turning into genuine language practice.
The Parliament building, Buda Castle, the opera and concert halls make Budapest a cultural city to explore while you study.
A continental climate: summers are hot and sunny, while winters are cold with occasional snow. Spring and autumn are generally mild.
Getting around Budapest by metro, tram and bus is easy, and the tram lines along the Danube are an enjoyable way to explore. Thermal baths, the riverside, markets and cafés are important parts of social life.
