About the country
About Mexico
With its Maya and Aztec heritage, colourful towns, UNESCO-recognised cuisine and lively traditions such as the Day of the Dead, Mexico is a rich choice for anyone who wants to get to know Latin American culture up close. Spanish is the language of daily life, and people's warm, chatty manner makes practising it easier. Its geography, from deserts and mountains to tropical coasts, gives the country remarkable variety.
Our programmes in Mexico are in Playa del Carmen, on the Caribbean coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. Options include General Spanish, Spanish exam preparation and programmes that combine lessons with activities. Thanks to the relaxed seaside atmosphere, nearby Maya ruins and natural sinkholes known as cenotes, your time outside class is filled with experiences where you can use the language you are learning.
